A pounding heart and sweaty brow voiced Eva Krynovich's thanks Sunday. The 68-year-old heart transplant recipient helped plant hundreds of trees at Red Rocks Open Space, to honor of organ and tissue donors. It was tough work, but Krynovich said she was happy to do it. Just two years ago she was days from death when nonprofit Donor Alliance found her a new heart. She wrote to her donor's family six months after her surgery to thank them for saving her life but never heard back, so now she says "thank you" through volunteer projects that return the life she was granted.
